Hey Behnam,

I was aware that they were not actual "nations" per se., but it's in my experience that things must be explained in this way to get people's interest and to ask further questions (I've read a *lot* on world history, esp. on acient empires in the Middle East).

As for the geographic region, I would say a fair portion of Canadians have no insight on where, say, Afghanistan is, in relation to Pakistan, or India, or Saudi Arabia, or Egypt. I'm just providing context.

In the end, it's a necessary prelude to making a point that I'm against our presence in Afghanistan.

Dude, you have no idea how much I appreciate your input on this. Thank you thank you thank you!

btw, if you look carefully at the map, you will see the race of the people in today's afghanistan is called ARIA next to Parthia, Bactria etc. Did you know IRAN in persian mean "The land of Arians"? and ARIA means "Free man".

Nice story though suffering from lack of precision and reference! Also, the way the story starts is not precise at all. Based on the way you told you story each tribe has to have its own country which is not the case! (even in turkey and Iran which they got their names from their race, they also are consist of several tribes and races). Afghanistan was a part of Persian empire which hosts afghani tribes for hundreds of years. No need to prove (even though the persian-farsi language makes it very crystal clear) that Afghanistan along side with all those other "Istans" (Istan in farsi means State which refers to all those countries in mid-asia region such as turkimanistan, turkistan, tajikistan, afghanistan, pakistan etc) where different states of the great empire starting thousands years ago! look at this map, it might help http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/56/Map_of_the_Achaemenid_Empire.jpg
