There are nine days left until the Mindblowing Quiz deadline, and ballots have been flowing at a decent rate. I would now like to take this opportunity to make a pitch to those who have not yet entered to do so, and to donate the prize to charity.
I would like to see someone come in and win the $50 Chapters gift card and give it away, instead of an entrant who would keep it for themselves. Ultimately, the winner has the final say on the fate of the prize, and there is no shame in keeping it for themselves. The quiz is tough enough, and they will have earned it. Mind you, I would love to wee the gift card to to organisations such as:
- Laubach Literacy, who focus on both adult and children’s literacy
- Big Brothers, Big Sisters (of Moncton, or any other community)
- Your local Boys & Girls Club
- YMCA / YWCA
- Your local church
- Any other family resource center
